What is deleted
- Your profile, username and sign-in (Google, email and password, or Apple)
- Your recommendations, watchlist, watched list and top 10 picks
- Your friends, the recommendations you sent or received, and nudges
- Direct messages, watch groups you own, and your group picks, votes, chats and reactions
- Watch reminders, playlists, ratings, trivia scores and push notification device tokens
- Your block list
- For Sign in with Apple accounts: the app's access to your Apple ID is revoked
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
What is kept, and for how long
- Abuse reports you filed or that were filed about content: kept without a link to your account, so we can act on abusive users. Retained while needed for safety, then removed.
- Encrypted backups and server logs that may still contain copies: they roll off within 30 days.
- Records we must keep by law (for example to answer a legal request): only as long as the law requires.
- Messages you sent that were copied elsewhere by other people are theirs and are not affected.
